Course Description:           

The aim of this course is to look introduce sport management as a career and critically look at the role of the sport manager from a 360-degree angle. The course aims to equip students with the tools for basic understanding of managing, and running a sports organisation, as well as the critical skills present day sport managers possess. The sport business is a dynamic industry that is constantly changing, and the sport event is a critical event in terms of its ability to sustain a sporting entity. Therefore, this course will touch on aspects such as fundraising, basic marketing and event management for entry level sport managers.
