Midwifery Science 1A Theory

This course introduces students to the fundamentals of midwifery within the nursing science framework. It covers:

  • Anatomy & physiology of the female reproductive system and pregnancy structures.

  • Foundations of midwifery including antenatal care, maternal health, and midwifery concepts.

  • Ethical and legal principles guiding safe practice.

  • Introduction to clinical skills such as patient assessment, record keeping, and communication.
