You will use two main online systems. They do different jobs. Knowing the difference will save you confusion.
Moodle is where you learn online.
You go to Moodle for your Subjects – each subject has its own Moodle page. There you will find lecture notes, video recordings, assignments to submit, quizzes, discussion forums, and feedback from your teachers. Moodle also shows your provisional grades for coursework along the way.
TCMS (University Management System) is your official student record.
TCMS handles the administrative side of your studies. This is where your subject registrations are done for you (you do not register yourself – the university or your department handles that). TCMS also manages your fee statements, payments, personal details (address, phone number), and – most importantly – your official final results for each subject.
The most common mistake is looking for final exam results in Moodle. Moodle only shows provisional grades (assignment scores, quiz marks). Your official final grade for each subject always appears in TCMS, not in Moodle.
Another common question: Why can I see a subject in TCMS but not yet in Moodle?
After you are registered in TCMS, the process to add subjects to Moodle is currently done manually by the college staff, process will be automatic in future. This means it may take some time – often one to a few days – for your subjects to appear on Moodle. Unlike what some students think, this delay has nothing to do with fees. As long as you are registered in TCMS, your subjects will eventually appear on Moodle, regardless of payment status. If more than a week passes and you still cannot see a subject, contact your IT help desk or eLearning support.
Simple rule:
- Learning, assignments, subject materials → Moodle
- Registration, official results, personal details, fee statements → TCMS
If Moodle goes wrong (e.g., cannot submit an assignment), contact create a ticket with the Online Support (Ticketing) System at https://elearning.triumphant.edu.na/support. If TCMS goes wrong (e.g., wrong subject registration or missing official result), contact the Student Services.
Keep the two systems separate, and you will avoid most confusion.
